Tidings of Comfort & Joy on Christmas Eve

Merry Christmas Eve! Here's a card created using the Simply Scrappin' Kit and the "joy" from the Word Play Stamp Set.  I added a bit of holiday sparkle using the silver glimmer paper and Dazzling Details glitter glue on the inside of the "O."

Enjoy the holidays with family and friends! ~Julie

Merry & Bright!

Hello! I enjoyed creating this card as it was my second attempt using heat embossing.  I enjoy this technique because it adds an exciting flair to any card.  I used silver embossing powder on this card and added some bling to the center of the poinsettias and in the "o" in joy.  Mary Fish had a great idea to color the diamonds by coloring them using sharpies. I've been enjoying the different colored bling! Thanks for that tip, Mary!

A Merry Treat!

Hello! Today I would like to share a great project my friend Jackie created. She is giving jams and jelly for Christmas gifts and wanted to jazz  up the gift containers. She stamped her image on the fabric and then used embroidery thread to enhance the stamped image. What a great and beautiful gift idea!
Design tips from Jackie! :  She used a piece of felt (polyester felt, about 35 cents per 8”x10”sheet) and stamped it using the snowflake stamp from the Stampin' Up! Winter Post set.  She recommends using black or white pigment inks pending on the color of your felt as it was much easier to see the dark stamp imprint on lighter felt than darker felt. Then, she clamped the felt in to an embroidery hoop. She used embroidery thread and a needle and followed the lines of the stamp.  You can follow the pattern exactly or you can be inspired by the beautiful pattern and customize it  to your liking. Lastly, she put a dab of glitter glue on the tips of the snowflake to give it a little sparkle - what a perfect finishing touch! So creative!

Thanks so much for sharing Jackie! Merry Christmas!  ~Julie

December Pals Blog Hop! - Birthday Theme

Welcome to the December Pals Hop! This month, we're featuring Birthday themed cards and projects! I hope you enjoy the hop and the amazing creations that the Pals have come up with. You've likely hopped over from Linda Fisher at http://lindas-stampinloft.blogspot.com, I'm stop #11 on the Pals Hop and I'm glad you hopped in! I'll help you "hop along" from blog to blog where you'll find great ideas for Birthday paper projects from the Stampin' Pretty Pals! Should you hop off course, simply click on any of the links in the Pals Hop Line-up below and you'll be back on track!

I created two cards to share in today's hop all inspired by the Pocketful of Posies DSP.  This is one of the my favorite DSPs and I believe it is one of the most versatile - great for birthdays (both feminine and masculine), thinking of you, sympathy, etc.
The first card is an elegant & simple cutout from one of my favorite prints in this DSP set.  I paired it with some twine, a Perfect Punch sentiment and a touch of bling.

The second is a cute & simple birthday greeting.  I dusted off my crimper, broke out my baker's twine and tied it all together with a Perfect Punch sentiment & of course some bling.

Hop along for more inspiring ideas from Nancy Gleason at http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/mystampinspace/blog, stop #12 on the December Pals Hop! Thanks for "hopping" by!
