Hello! I am thrilled to be the Guest Stamper on Mary Fish's Website today. I have two sources of inspiration for my project: showcasing this fantastic display frame from Pier 1 Imports and using the new Love & Laughter Stamp Set (125475W, 125477C).
I believe that good visuals help to motivate and inspire people to want to make cards and this display frame from Pier 1 is a demonstrator’s dream as it can show off 9 different and creative designs all at once. Let your cards and designs show them how they too can utilize these tools to easily create fantastic paper projects.
The Love and Laughter Stamp Set is elegant yet modern with the use of word clouds in the shapes of the bridal dress and wedding cake. I love this set as it inspires me to finish my own wedding album! Four years in the making now!
I love quilling! It’s fun, easy and instantly adds the “wow” factor to any card. After I removed my quilled flower from my paper piercer tool, I used a Mini Glue Dot to secure the paper end to the rest of the flower. Since the quilled paper strip is so narrow, I folded my Mini Glue Dot around to the back and it doubled as an adhesive to my card.
I've entered this wedding card in the Less is More Blog Challenge #55, which is to use punches or die cuts in the card design. This card design is clean, simple and elegant with the quilling and pearl embellishments.
Having a hard time getting all of the tiny pieces out of your doily? Use a shim when creating your Big Shot sandwich by adding in an extra piece or two of cardstock beneath this Sizzlits die – I found that two worked best for me. When I lightly rolled my just punched doily, most of the pieces fell right off. I used my paper piercer to finish punching out the rest of the pieces with ease. The sanding block helped me to smooth out or remove any frayed edges. What a gorgeous and elegant die to add to any card!
I hope you have enjoyed all of my projects today and a big thank you to Mary Fish for letting me to share with you. If you have any questions about my designs or would like a list of the materials I used for each card, please email me. I would love to hear your thoughts on my projects and also what you would do with a great display frame like this. The possibilities are endless! Enjoy! ~Julie
